they say that when a targaryen is born, a coin is flipped and all the world stops. for in that single, fleeting, moment the fate of the world lies in that childs' hands. who lives, who dies - everything - can be made or broken by their shrill screams. cities conquered, and dynasties toppled at their minuscule fingertips.

it was a folly, ridiculous, that the lives of so many were bound to blind luck, but the name targaryen bred power, and it was to targaryen whims, wants and luck that westeros bowed. forever destined to serve fire. 

however, the odds of this arrangement were stacked, for something far more sinister than fire ran through their blood - a curse of hereditary insanity pulsated through their veins, biding its' time as it waited, poised to strike any child that dared enter a targaryen womb.

and, when valeria, aerys and rhaella targaryens' fourth and final child was born, ending her mother's life upon the very second that she strayed from her womb - fate, never one to divert from this o' so twisted tradition, flipped a coin. 

but as robert baratheon's rebellion spread like wildfire to each and every corner of the cruel continent that was westeros - a destitute, desperate, and newly homeless pack of three young targaryen fugitives were forced to flee across the narrow sea, as far away from the fateful blade of robert baratheon's  infamous battleaxe as possible - and the fate of coin, was forgotten...

Artys Arryn is the son of Jon Arryn and his second wife Rowena Arryn after his first wife died giving birth to a stillborn daughter, The Lord of the Eyrie had to remarry and that was Lady Rowena. The two of them tried for many years to let the heir of Jon be born but after 2 pregnancies being ended long before their term.......... and the birth of another stillborn daughter, both slowly started to lose hope.... hope that there would ever be born the Heir of Jon but just before the news came from King's Landing that King Aerys Targaryen had taken the lives of Brandon and Rickard Stark..... just before the news came that Jon would have to send the heads of his wards towards King's Landing and he rallied his banners his wife found out she was with child again. What could he do but to go to war? He did not wish to leave his wife behind who was already 5 months pregnant...... she was barely showing at that time and he had to fight..... they had to go to war. 11 months later when Jon returned back to the Eyrie he had not heard of his wife.... how could they? He was at war many times moving from place to place.... but he did not expect that when he returned home his wife would have been laid to rest. The Stranger took his wife but left behind a son..... he now had a 7-month-old son with piercing blue eyes and blonde hair like he had in his youth.
