"How's your vision, Sergeant?" The lieutenant asks. My eyes fall upon her.

Everything about her seems to be void of color. Her skin is a milky white, and her hair seems to be brighter than the snow that drifts outside. It's short, and falls to her shoulders in the same distinctive curls all women seem to wear these days.

"You're very white." Is the first thing that pops into my mind. Apparently, it's also the first thing to roll off my tongue.

I immediately cringe at my choice of words and go to backtrack. Steve looks appalled.

But the lieutenant--Ozawa, she does the absolute last thing I could have or would have expected.

She laughed.

Mimi Ozawa has lost everything.

The war took her home, her possessions, her pride, and tore her family apart from the inside out.

After being carted off to a Japanese-American relocation camp, the 16-year-old enlists in the Army as a nurse following her brother's sudden disappearance.

She didn't expect the ambush.

She didn't expect to be taken as a Prisoner of War.

And she definitely didn't expect to be HYDRA's most successful experiment.

"Come at me like a real man, or does your religion not allow you to spill blood?" She laughed and further lowered her lips to his ear, whispering, "You're weak and pathetic Captain." *** She was rather irritating, but had a disposition for sarcasm and wit. Fuelled by rage and past pain, one has to cover the obviousness with a bit of humour. Audrey Cecilia Embers, was a broken Christian mystery wrapped in misery. Stealing paintings was her signature style of a message to her competitors, or was it a hobby? Whatever she made it into, the objective is what will be her downfall, getting herself in a bigger mess and ending up in one of SHIELD's jails. The sweet smell of betrayal will be the outcome of this disaster, and she knows who played her. But before she can get some justice, her life spirals into a crazier direction when one family member comes back to haunt her to her grave. Amongst the mess, the assassin is faced with a difficult decision, and not only that, but she meets Captain America himself. He was a soldier in a general sense. He was regal, tall, strong-even handsome. And a gentleman. He followed the law where she broke it. He dotted his I's and crossed his T's where she wouldn't have cared. But when Audrey meets the golden boy, she doesn't like him. He's too gentle, too much about saving people, and very...patriotic. Growing up you didn't have the best relationship, he never put you first and liked to hook up with girls and Party instead of being a father. I nod my head, "I forgot to ask. What happened to your hand?" "Fell off a train in the mountains. HYDRA found me and gave me this metal one." "Leaving me there and going really did nothing for you huh." "Thea-," he walks towards me. I yawn, stretching my arms and he watches me. My shirt slightly lifts, revealing one of my scars. "What happened?" He comes close to me, and places his metal thumb on my bare skin, trailing the scar. "Nothing," I move away from his touch, trying to ignore the butterflies ricocheting through me. He looks in my eyes, "Every scar has a story." I chuckle dryly, "Then I must be a novel." Bucky leans towards me slightly, my face hardly an inch from his, "You're a novel I'd want to read." Theadora Rogers doesn't know her origins. Correction, she doesn't remember. Correction, HYDRA wiped her mind when she was only 18 and her older brother, Steve, was 20. But like I said, she didn't remember him. She knew 3 things: 1. Her name was Datura and she was 28. 2. She is HYDRA's best assassin and she is kept in cryofreeze unless she is needed in a mission, and that she trained for 10 years before that. 3. All hail HYDRA. Datura is a beautiful flower, but deadly. Many people die every year consuming its seeds. The drug was amazing, but addicting and it kills millions every year. Now, down to business. Our Datura has a mission. To kill Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. But what happens when, for the first time in 80 years, she fails and the Avengers capture her? What happens when she meets the broken Winter Soldier? Read to find out. 😉 (Takes place during Captain America : The Winter Soldier)
