Rhyley Peyton has just suffered a terrible loss and defeat during her hero career. Not knowing how to handle it she dives down a black hole of depression, alcohol and self loathing. After years of fighting bad guys and saving people she has reached an impasse with her life.

But with the help of family and friends she slowly starts to crawl out of the dark hole especially when her closes friend and practically sister, Abigail Camden, life is threaten by an unknown enemy and a darker life she thought she left behind (League of Shadows).

Nightshade will struggle with the pressure of being a hero once more. But it doesn't help that a certain Nightwing shows up in every corner ruining her plans for a fast kill and going back to her self loathing.

While Rhyley Peyton struggles with her growing feelings for Richard Grayson.
