The sun shone in my eyes as I stared out to the sea. My eyes searched the water hungerly as I drew in a breath. I wanted it. I wanted the valleys that the water filled, and the thousands of colourful fish that swam between the reeds. But most of all, I want freedom. Freedom from this life. The pressure that is so heavy I feel it breaking my bones. I wanted it so bad it made my heart ache.
As I made my way back down the hill, a grenade heavy in my hand, a thought settled in my head, chanting.
This is what I was born to do.

I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. It hurt to do anything right now. But I still screamed under the cold water and pushed the hands away as hard as I could. It didn't have much effect. "Alright, it's 12 noon. Deal or not?" I couldn't look at him, so I stared at the beauty in front of me. Somehow I knew he was watching it too.
