Romance
"The story you are about to read isn't a romance story, filled with hearts and love and perfection. This is a story of a girl, a girl who has a traumatic past, and may never be able to move on from it. That girl is me." Meet Elody Jiles. Outwardly, she seems like a normal girl, with a normal life. However, that is not the case. Upon meeting her, you may assume she is just extremely introverted, and doesn't like being around people. But in reality, she is simply afraid of human touch. This is a result of her broken past. No one really understands what happened, or why she is the way she is. For now. Her family got sick of her hiding in her room, seemingly scared of living her life. So without her consent, she is sent off to a horse ranch in the middle of nowhere, where she is to work for the summer. She has no choice but to oblige, so as to avoid being thrown out. What will happen when she discovers she is to live and work closely alongside another person? And what will happen when she discovers that other person is a guy?

Tristan's life has never gone the way he planned. He married his high school sweetheart too young, became a father before he was ready, and now he's trapped in a toxic marriage with a woman who doesn't value him-or their little girl, Emily. The rodeo was supposed to be his escape, a place where he could still breathe, but even the arena can't hide the truth: Tristan is living someone else's dream, not his own. Loneliness and disappointment push him into dangerous choices. An affair with an older woman shows him the kind of warmth and passion he's been missing, but it's not enough to heal the emptiness inside him. Then a flood in Arizona strands him in a hotel with Adrian-a woman who stirs something deeper than desire. With her, Tristan glimpses the kind of love and future he's always longed for, but never believed he deserved. Now, he's standing at a crossroads. To claim the life he wants, Tristan must face the hardest truths of all: breaking free from a marriage that's breaking him, letting go of past mistakes, and daring to fight for a second chance at happiness. Because sometimes, what happens at the rodeo isn't about the ride in the arena-it's about finding the courage to ride into a new life. **If you would like your own copy for Kindle or a paperback (That I will gladly sign if you catch me out at my booths!
