I love Kerrigan & Lowdermilk's musical The Mad Ones (The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown) and this is a book of the lyrics.
THE MAD ONES is a 2019 Off-Broadway musical written by writer-composer duo Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk (known more commonly as Kerrigan & Lowdermilk).
'The Mad Ones', formerly known as 'The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown', tells the story of rising college freshman Samantha Brown, who sits behind the wheel of her late best friend's car, about to drive away for college, but cannot bring herself to turn the key.
The entire story is told in a matter of a few moments by a series of non-linear memories from Sam's high school years. In these memories are Sam's mother, an anxious statistician, and her boyfriend, Adam, who struggles to find an identity without Sam by his side all the time.
However, at the center of it all, is Sam's relationship with her adventurous best friend, Kelly. In Sam's flickering memories, the duo relives some of their best moments, taking road trips in Kelly's car.
Samantha fights through the trauma of leaving every trace of her childhood- including Kelly- behind in this gorgeously disjointed, raw, and human story about what it really means to be mad.

Smart, good looking and charismatic, Jordan opens Elliot's eyes to the possibilities around him and gives him butterflies like nobody else does. And then one night, the butterflies start to make sense - the trouble is, now nothing else does. As Elliot begins to figure out how he really feels about Jordan, he realizes that sometimes the last thing you are expecting is the one thing you need the most.
