"Go talk to her" Sally implores.
"No" I sigh, looking down into my drink.
"Why?"
"I already did at the bar earlier; I think she's pissed I never messaged her. Plus, she's clearly with that guy". I nod my head towards the handsome guy with his arm draped around her.
"Oh, that's Sam don't worry about him" She chuckles, as if she knows something I don't.
"Who's Sam, and why not?" I ask slightly too eagerly.
"He's the kind of boyfriend I was telling you about, he's just some fuck-boi she's had some kind of weird on-off relationship with for like, ever, apparently. It's nothing serious, plus he's a total dick. He met us for drinks after work on Wednesday. He's like a real-life Patrick Bateman, but in the movie business. Sure, he's hot but he is the worst. Thinks he's the best because he's a Harvard grad or something equally obnoxious."
"Well, I'm not going up there, how do I introduce myself? 'Hi, I'm Maddison, I fucked your kind of girlfriend two weeks ago, spent a super fun day with her then ignored her for two weeks, can I steal her for the night?' no thank you."
"Fine pouty, I'll go over."
"Please don't, you're drunk and you're going to embarrass me." My plead falls on deaf ears as Sally is already up and heading towards Lola's group. I turn around and engage with Inez so it doesn't look like I sent my friend over to talk to the girl I like. It all seems so high school and cringe.
Five minutes pass and Sally is yelling to me
"StVincent. Over here. We're playing doubles". They're at the pool table again. I guess its Sally and I versus Lola and Sam. Great. I pound my drink back and head over.
Skylar
Hi, I'm Skylar, but friends call me Sky. Actually, I don't have many of them. I'm shy and rather awkward. I think too much and feel too much, all at once. I'm just a normal girl who goes to the university, and whose life is going to change after meeting...him.
Ace
Fuck off! I'm not telling you anything about me, you motherfuckers. My life is not your fucking business!

"You like it when I say your name, hm?" His voice was so soft. "Skylar" He said and placed a soft kiss on my neck.
I closed my eyes and turned my head to the side unconciously, giving him better access. His one hand was still wrapped around my neck and the other one was on my waist, holding me tight. His mouth detached on my neck, giving it gentle kisses. It felt so good that I couldn't move or do anything. I was completely frozen.
I never felt like this before. No one has ever had such influence on me. I couldn't pull away from him, even if I wanted to.
However, his hand traveled down from my waist and went under my blouse and that was like a bucket of cold water. I opened my eyes and jumped back a little, instantly missing his warm touch. But hello?? I don't know him. And I'm definitely not that kind of girl who makes out with random guys at parties. He opened his mouth with wonder, I was sure he didn't expect such a turn of events. I stepped back, looking at him with my parted lips.
"I...uhm...I need to go. M-my friend is probably looking for me." I said quickly, turned around, and left the room, leaving him confused.
