I am sure you heard the story of Hansel & Gretel.
Of course you have. But I witnessed it, with my own bird eyes. And the real, true story is much different. Why, you ask? Because I saw it from way up in the sky. A
nd the truth often differs from perspective.
One day, I saw two meek children, too small for their own good travel into the forest, holding only a basket with bread crumbs. They returned back to where they had started their journey. Only it was different. They traveled in a full circle, only the building they returned to was different somehow. "Look sis! We're lost! I followed the breadcrumbs but we're somewhere else now," I heard from the boy. However, they weren't lost. They were back at the place they started. The cottage was now a gingerbread house with sugary treats. It was transformed by a blind witch. Only around these parts, I know her as Stepmother Gerta...

The Forest (Complete Unedited)
This story begins in the year 2001, although maybe it started twenty six years before that when Alice was born. Or even before that when her parents met each other. You could say it probably started centuries ago when England was covered in thick oak woodland. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself or maybe behind, for now every story has to start somewhere. Alice is a slightly plump office worker. She lives in a shared flat in London with some other girls, who she hardly ever talks to as she is very shy. She is happy to finally be independent after leaving her mother's house. Her job is her life and she loves it. Next she plans to get a boyfriend and to lose a bit of weight, then her life will be perfect. Things seem to be going well on the surface. Unfortunately the dreams were getting worse, Alice just couldn't get any sleep. After taking yet another sick day, completely by accident! Her supervisor finally gave her the talk and temporarily suspended her. It was time to sort her life out, if only she can find some courage. She is as surprised as anybody when she steps out of the office and life suddenly gets interesting! What happens when Alice goes in search of her dreams? Are they nightmares or something else? Yes, that's what I read about him (among other things)-- he kept falling in love with unatteinable women. My story portrays Hans Christian Andersen as a young, fourteen-years-old boy. It's set in Odense, Denmark, in the late summer of 1818-- soon after Hans' mother, a poor washerwoman, remarried (two years after his father's death) and shortly before he was sent to a school for poor children where he had to support himself. Where he became, to be able to afford his schooling, first a weaver's, then a tailor's apprentice, a singer, an actor and finally, once his excellent soprano voice changed, a writer. Hans and Louise, his (fictional) step-sister, seek refuge from a summer storm in an old shed. There, they meet Rosalind, a lost Flower Fairy. When they decide to help her find the Butterfly Fairy boy she loves and intends to marry, she takes them into a fantastical world of Terra Sonalis, her home. A land of dreams populated by fairies, goblins, elves, mermaids, talking animals... All those mysterious creatures that fuelled Andersen's imagination for the rest of his life. ☆☆☆Completa
Home Sweet Home
Gretel never had much of an interest in magic, not really. The inn she runs just happens to be made out of candy. But that design choice was made by the home's previous occupant, the witch Agatha, who had tried to steal the youthful bodies of Gretel and her brother Hansel. The witch had misused her magic though, and as punishment the house took away her human form and trapped her inside of a gingerbread one. Gretel has big dreams though. She wants to expand their little cottage into the finest set of lodgings in all of Germany. Money is an issue. As are the tricks Agatha plays against on the customers, always trying to worm her way back into a human form. The money problem could be solved by a wealthy investor, such as her neighbor Thomas, but that man only has one thing on this mind. And then the war came. Across the border the French have overthrown their King and established something called a Republic. German troops march west to avenge the death of their Emperor's brother-in-law and Hansel has marched with them. What's more the magic in the house is fading. The witch Agatha says it needs a new Master to make new rules and new spells, or else it will melt away into nothing. But is Gretel up to the task?Completa
Sweet Dreams: A Modern Fairytale
This is inspired by a writing project I supervised when I worked with an elementary student. This writing project was a group project to make their own spin on a fairy tale assigned to the group. It had to have all the main points of their fairy tale, start and and with the common phrases of a fairy tale, and it had to have their own creative spin. My student did Cinderella, and it was so fun to work with him and his group, I wanted to make my own. Our dear Cinderella loves to bake, but she's not exactly looking for love when an opportunity to make a name for herself comes up. As for Prince Charming, he is looking for love, just not in the usual fairy tale fashion. And as usual, there's some extra mischief from the step family, royal family, and fairy godmother. They became witch hunters, hunting witches during the wave of the hunting season. Protecting people, especially children's precious lives. No sooner have I stepped inside than someone speaks up, "Hand over your first born child, Gothel." I spin around to be faced with a mysterious pair of blue eyes and a wry smile. "Rumplestiltskin." I breathe, "I thought you went off to explore the world." "I did. Now I'm back. I will expect you to uphold your promise." He says, running a hand through his long, dark hair. "I made that promise when I was eight." I reply, thinking back. "I'm never going to get married and I'm never going to have children!" I declared decisively. "Really?" Rumplestiltskin inquired. "Yes. Boys are stupid." "Hey! That's not very nice." Rumplestiltskin whined, putting his hands on his hips. I stuck my tongue out. "Fine. Then if you are never going to get married, I suppose you won't mind agreeing to give me your first born child." He challenged. "Alright. Because it will NEVER happen!" "A promise is a promise." Rumplestiltskin says, "You must uphold your word." "For your information, this child isn't even mine." I respond. This takes Rumpelstiltskin by surprise. "She's not?" I explain what happened. "Well, she is a first born child, and now she's yours, so she IS your first born child." He decides.Completa

3 months after the events of Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. This takes place 3 months later, where Gretel gets promoted as the new sheriff of Augsburg while Hansel becomes the new mayor. Happy with their new jobs, they still are witch hunters. After Gretel discovers that Muriel was brought bak to life by her brother; DIablo. She learns that Muriel only did the things 3 months ago, mainly because she was jealous of her brother getting what he wants and not her. Although Gretel may not like Muriel up til now, she still feels that Muriel needs a friend to depend on if she is depressed or lost. But, the trust between a evil witch and a witch hunter has never happened before. Will things change and Muriel changes? NOT FOR READERS YOUNGER THAN 17!Completa
