"How come I've never seen you around, Vega?" his smile was accompanied by slightly narrowed eyes, making it border the line between a grin and a smirk.

One end of Vega's mouth quirked up, her eyebrows slowly pulling together in a crease. She looked almost amused, which wasn't how she was supposed to look.

"I just got here," she stated rather than answered as if it were common knowledge. Her confidence flooded the front porch and almost outshined Harry's, leaving him helpless in the deep end.

He did his best to recover, "where were you, then, Miss Lavender?" he was sure to use her last name, ensuring that she was one of them and he hadn't got it all wrong. When she didn't correct him, even more questions arose.
