Welcome to the world of Mobius! You've seen Sonic save the world in the many games but what about other characters and villains? What if members of the main cast had their own duties to uphold and Eggman decided to go good for a bit? Enter in ROOT. A story about a few well known characters and OCs of mine in their journey to discover the truth of strange nightly happenings.

What's with all these nightly shadows roaming about? What about the vamphog that still haunts? And who's connected to it all? Join a few familiar faces as well as some new ones as they uncover secrets before they run out of time!

This is an AU that follows after the events of the Zombot Arc of the Sonic IDW comics. Along with that are callbacks to previous games as well as brief appearances of characters originating from the Archie Comics. I do not own any characters other than my OCs. Darker and more power hungry...after failing to defeat and kill Shadow, Sonic and the rest of the gang, he Is going to make sure he gets what he wants this time, by using the power of the chaos emeralds,He infects Shadow with a rabies like disease, called Muskiomal which makes Shadow a ruthless cannabalsitic killer at nightfall. Not only does Mephiles turn Shadow into a killer hedgehog, he forces him to take out revenge on not only on on Mobians but the entire universe as well. But only Amy Rose is aware of Shadow's illness after witnessing Shadow consuming human and Mobian remains behind a restaurant dumpster. Amy vows to keep Shadow's condition a secret not only for the safety of Sonic and the gang but for the universe...but if G.U.N finds out the ultimate life form and their top agent as dangerous... it could result in him being held captive, being detained against his will and experimented on as long as possible. Despite the life threatening situation, Shadow and Amy's connection grows closer and closer which ultimately leads to them having an affair which eventually leads them to being together, much to the disdain of not only Sonic, but to the entire group, unfortunately, it later becomes a weakness which will give Mephiles a possible one up against the team Will Amy and the rest of the crew find a cure for Shadow's condition or will he forever be Mephiles' murderous puppet? When I was watching them in my childhood, I start thinking about what will happen if I combine some of the stories and make one of my own. The blood hunter and the werewolf, who turns out to be Sonic (a rogue), were on the verge of death until they were healed by Silver (a druid) with a shard from the master emerald. Accidentally, Silver may have also placed a curse on the pair. They cannot be separated and are bound to each other's presence. Shadow isn't too happy with the situation, and learns to cope as he journeys with the two- encountering other characters and monsters as they search for a way to break their curse. Not long though, Shadow starts to see the weight of the trauma held on Sonic's shoulders as he struggles to contain his werehog form. -Contains multi shipping The story's main focus is the development between Sonic and Shadow's relationship, with a side story ship between Silver and Espio. (One sonilver scene. One shadilver scene) I only write about healthy relationships. -Ages: Shadow(27), Sonic (26), Silver(24), Espio (25).The rest of the characters have been aged up appropriately and all above 18. (WARNINGS for any adult themes or blood will be placed when needed) This story is also going to have Comic panels along with Writings. Please give them time to load.
