This is a 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' alternate universe (AU) where Abraham Portman was declared missing, and presumed dead, a year before sixteen-year old Jacob Portman and his family finally decide to clean out the old man's house. Will one particular object in Abraham's pile of belongings prove itself to be a trail of breadcrumbs in the forest?
