Before Marionette and Adrien began dating, their relationship was complicated. Young and naive, Adrien was unaware of his feelings for the women around him. That is except for Ladybug, whom he knew was the one and only for him. However, after being rejected one too many times, he looked to whoever he could for attention. Unfortunately, his eyes set first on Kagami. Marionette was shattered by this pair, she had loved Adrien for so long. She had found shelter in Luka. Adrien had soon come to his senses and realized his love for Marionette. He broke off with Kagami and confessed, but Marionette's feelings for Luka had grown. She chose to follow her dreams of being with Adrien and broke it off with Luka.
