"Any fool can have bad luck; the art consists in knowing how to exploit it." -Frank Wedekind No viable relationships can be procured between a blatantly underage Oxford student and an impudent bartender. Especially when her literature essay skills greatly exceed those in spur-of-the-moment decisions, more so than would be intelligent to admit. And he's never seriously dated a girl in his life. Somehow, though, Rowan Shiring manages to lose her accent-clad British boyfriend, first as she wanders away, and again when he finds her again after one chaotic night at the aforementioned bartender's crowded pub. And when she finds herself (by what will prove to be either the best or worst of luck), at the very same bar a month later, she can't help but chase after the very same bartender. And with her usual obliviousness, ignores the lack of romantic instability in cheeky, curly haired boys who spend their nights serving beer and their days doing who knows what.

Harry Styles doesn't know much, but he does know two things. He knows that there's not many things a good cocktail can't fix, and he also knows that he can't stop thinking about the blonde-haired girl who he shamelessly flirts with during his shift every Friday evening. Willa Tillerson might know too much, to be fair. She knows that she lets work slowly take over her life, she knows that this work-life balance her friends talk about is nothing short of fiction, and she knows that she can't help but look forward to Friday's so that she can flirt with the handsome barman at the pub across the street. A short story about drinks and the people who make them, featuring a hint of pining and a dash of a (potential) happily ever after.
