With Haiji Kiyose in his final year of University, it's his last chance to run in the Hakone Ekiden. Luckily, it doesn't take him too long to convince the other nine occupants of Aotake to participate and training is quickly under way. 

What he doesn't expect, is to run into an old friend he thought he'd never see again.

Chiyo is struggling under the pressure of her father but Haiji takes her in, in hopes of bringing her back to her old self.
