This story, is about a girl, a nerd more like it. Her name, well real name, no one really knows, no one cares either so it's not that important to her. Everyone calls her Em, for Mystery Girl. Everyone says that because Mystery starts with M and they needed something to call her.
Anyways, her life, isn't that perfect so to speak. With only her father, being who-knows-where every night, and bullies at school, teasing her about the loss of her mother, it is very hard to hold on. Plus on top of all of that, another fellow nerd and her get paired up for an assignment and he comes in and stomps on her life and makes her have.. feelings? She hates it. Absolutely dreads it. She wants nothing to do with it.
Soon she will find out that some of her curious actions aren't the best idea, she gets in a load of trouble. Everyone is telling her that she can't face it alone, but she thinks otherwise. What will Em do once she realizes she can't do it alone? Will others have given up on her already?

"Oh," he said, as my back hit the wooden wall. Damn it, of course. With nowhere to go, his arms locked me in between him and the wall. Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.
