TW- assault, kidnapping, death. It's criminal minds so it isn't going to be pretty.
The team moves, it grows and it resolves cases. How will they deal with a cult that has anything but respect for half of the population? With four dead bodies, four missing girls and a desert to cover, how will they survive?
Follow the group as they are tested with all that California has to offer them because they definitely aren't in Quantico anymore.
This is my second stand-alone book about the cases the BAU solve.

Lucielle Andrews thought for a good portion of her life, that she knew what her goals were. Graduate. Get married. Have kids. Be a better family than the one she grew up in. With her drug addict of a mother, and her sociopath of a father, her life was no where near easy. She wanted to be the mother her own never was, and marry a better man than her father was. That theory changed when she came home from school to tons of sirens, officers and medics. She was newly fourteen, and very confused as to why she wasn't permitted inside her own home. She never got to enter that house again. She was taken to the police station, and fell asleep in an officer's office chair that night. When she woke, she was told that her father was going away for forever, since he was guilty of six homicides, including that of her mother's. The FBI officers that had been at her house had told her this, and how they were gonna get her stuff and get her to her aunt and uncle, whom she never knew she even had. She was put on a flight to Virginia, and finished growing up there with her aunt and uncle. Once she graduated high school, she knew she wanted to go school for psychology, minoring in criminal justice. Her guardians thought the combination was odd, but she knew exactly what her plan was. Her plan was to catch people like her parents. And be the FBI agent to help out a child who was going through what she had. That's no childhood. Soon enough she'll be on her way to Quantico, but for now, an internship will suffice. -•- NOTE: This book takes place in 2008 around the fifth to sixth season of Criminal Minds. Y/n has a secret. Actually, she has a few secrets. Y/n used to be involved with the BDSM community for several years with her fiancee, until her new job at the BAU slowly forced her to become more and more separated from her double life. One fateful night, it all changes. Y/n's life is now in shambles, and she has to navigate through her feelings alone. Y/n tries to throw herself into her work, finally allowing herself to become close with her team; but there's one person she can't connect with - her unit chief, Emily Prentiss. Y/n admires her from a distance, concealing her feelings for her unit chief. It works for a few months, but secrets are bound to be exposed, especially when you work with the world's top profilers. One case that hits way too close to home for Y/n proves just that. ... My phone dings as I sit back. I grab it, seeing a text from Emily. I gape openly at her text. "Fucking hell," I breathe. "What? What is it?" Garcia questions me in concern. I swallow harshly. "Emily texted me," I say, "It's a list of rules for tonight." "What do they say?" Garcia asks excitedly. I bite my lip as I read her text out loud. I take a breath, looking at Penelope. She shrugs at you through the mirror. "How are you doing?" She checks. I shake my head. "As good as I can be, given my role-play with the Chief just began," I groan, "I am going to regret this." ... TRIGGERS angst smut BDSM swearing degradation potential lack of aftercare - death/unaliving guns and other unaliving instruments blood mentions of rape and torture (for the cases obvs) kidnapping (for the cases, again, obvs) - anxiety/panic attacks depression throwing up (mostly from being drunk fun fact, Y/n likes to party) ---- *obvs I don't own any of the CM cast. I'm not following a particular plot from the show, and I make up my own cases for the team to work on. It's more fun for me and helps the story line --- #1: jj - 9/6/24 #1: jenniferjareau - 9/6/24 #1: prentiss - 9/6/24
