The Calm Before The Storm
Dual POV This story starts off right after Max made the choice to sacrifice Arcadia Bay, leaving only her and Chloe as survivors. Without anywhere else to go, the duo hit the open road, desperate to run away from their past. Life is hard, and over the next few years, the weight of their consequences slowly start to affect her and Chloe's lives mentally and emotionally. Although she still has her powers, Max promised Chloe never to use them, but that doesn't stop the brunette from slipping up, especially when true danger presents itself which is more often than not. Karma sure seems to have it out for them. Have Max and Chloe finally escaped the grips of their past, or is there a bigger storm yet to come? They're hunting us and we're on the run. We're always on the run and it's getting tiring but we can't stop. Not after I promised them that we would not be caught. Liam and Chloe were born with two different abilities which is extremely rare as most people are born with only one ability. With the looming war with the other realms in sight, the government has formed a new organisation to recruit reliths who are people with two abilities to train them and to fight in the war. People have been trying to escape the hands of the organisation as they have learnt about what they do to the reliths. The reliths go through various experiments in order to enhance their abilities. It usually ends with the reliths dying. Even if they made it through the experiments, they had to suffer with the beatings they received to make them tougher . When the government came to Liam's and Chloe's house to check for their abilities,they knew they had to escape. Together, Liam and Chloe made their escape and left their old life behind.Complete

With the help of a mysterious character, Max and Chloe try to find a way to fix reality and set time back to normal, even if it means risking their lives. The story starts with how you ended the first game. You can choose to start with the Sacrifice Chloe Ending or the Sacrifice Arcadia Bay ending. You can read both if you would like.
