Sequel to Light in the Dark
A few months after Roan decided to stay in Mirkwood, she starts to notice little changes in Thranduils behaviour. He seems distant and distracted, and she isn't the only one to notice.
She leaves Mirkwood, searching for help, when she meets Thorin Oakenshield. He wants to help her, but when he hears it is the king of Mirkwood he'd be helping, he is torn between his wrath for the King and his goodwill for Roan.
As Thranduil leaves his realm to find Roan but finds her with Thorin instead, he worries that his love is not enough...

Mirkwood (Thranduil and Tauriel post-BOTFA)
The relationship between Thranduil and Tauriel after the Battle of the 5 Armies. How Tauriel is dealing with the aftermath of the battle as she goes back to Mirkwood and realizes that she has always wanted Thranduil's love and affection in her life. It turns out there has been more behind their turbulent relationship than they let themselves believe. The story follows their relationship from the days and weeks after the battle to many years later, during the events from LOTR and after. I absolutely loved their chemistry in the Hobbit and this is my first fanfic. I tried to keep the characters as close to the movie versions as I could (since Tauriel only appears in the movies and Thranduil's personality is only vaguely presented in the books). I am also including info about what happened to Thranduil's realm after the Hobbit from the LOTR book appendices...
