5 years after Pitch's defeat has left him as weak as he was since then. With dreams becoming scarcer for him to taint and fear less abundant, the Nightmare King finds himself now looking for a way out of the eternal torture he's in. However, the Man in the Moon has different plans as a new threat arises to destroy the Guardians. This time the children are being hurt in the crossfire. With this new spirit threatening their lives, it seems only Pitch can help the Guardians protect the children. Although, it will be difficult for Pitch to come to terms with his good side and even harder for the Guardians to put things in the past.

Alexandra Barrow was a normal girl of sixteen when she died in 1626. While saving her brother from a mountain lion, she was attacked and killed by the beast. She woke up as a spirit with no recollection of who she was, how she ended up in the woods, and why she suddenly possessed the power to manipulate wind and fly freely through the air. All she knew was her name, and the fact that she was alone. After fifty years or so, and discovering her various powers, Allie is confronted by a boy. His eyes an icy blue, his hair and complexion a milky white. His name is Jack Frost, and the two of them together become an unstoppable duo of mischief makers. But when Jack alone is called to action to help the legendary Guardians of Childhood save the children of the world from an ancient shadow, their friendship will be pushed to the limits. Will Allie's jealousy of her friend having a true purpose tear apart their friendship, and will Allie be able to discover her origins and purpose without betraying her friends to their most hated enemy?
