Behind the Lines

"He coughs. My heart stops. He takes his hand from his mouth, and I see the few specks of blood on his palm. I glance up into his eyes. Fear shines in their green depths. I don't want to lose him. I need him."
Anorah lives in a world more than 1,000 years in the futrue. The earth is crumbling; falling to polution. Most of the population dies that way. Including her parents.
Her father, before dying, told her to go to the woods. The polution shouldn't get to her there.
A mysterious boy turns up at her doorstep, asking for help. He has the same infection that her father had. She helps him, where she could not help her mother and father, or anyone else.
For a while, everything is fine. The two of them are healthy. But then he starts to get the symptoms again. They have only one choice:
Go into the woods.
but what lies behind the train lines? What will they find when they cross that line?
