Up and coming writer Michael Ann Ellis swore off love forever when she watched her parents' marriage crash and burn her sophomore year of high school. After watching her mother cry herself to sleep every night for months, she made a promise to herself to never fall in love.
What she didn't count on was how difficult it would be to keep that promise after meeting her lab partner, Greyson. She held true to it until leaving town for Boston, but when she decides to fly home for Christmas for the first time in two years, she's forced to decide if the promise she made is worth the heartache she feels knowing she's giving up the only one who has ever been able to make her question it.

Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same.
