Livy's world has been turned upside down in result of the seemingly never-ending pandemic. Livy is a special education teacher and has a love for helping people, especially those with disabilities. In fact, the most important person in Livy's life is her brother Archie, who has Down syndrome.
State borders are being closed. Quarantining is strictly enforced. Once they're ready, vaccinations eventually become mandatory and given to all US citizens on the same day. Three days after the mass vaccination, Livy and her friends watch the world unravel as different people experience different side effects of the shot.
All blood types are affected differently by the vaccine. The vaccine has an adverse effect on many people over the age of 35, instantly killing them. In those younger than 35, some blood types, such as A positive, thankfully appear unaffected. Other blood types such as AB positive, gradually show uncanny symptoms such as brain deterioration and skin discoloration. The rarest blood type, O positive, begins to show new abilities that seem supernatural.
Locked down in the state of Georgia, Livy watches in horror as her arch nemesis, Milo, appears to lead a group of A positives in taking control of all other blood types. AB's are being killed while O's are being enslaved, doing the bidding of Milo and his group. What will happen when one blood type thinks they can rule over all the others? Is this a world that Livy can live in or will she do something about it?

Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages.
