Pain and sadness have always been a part of my life. I've never felt truly loved or cared for. I'm all alone...all by myself. Even though I'm a member of the Paw Patrol, and of a loving family, it doesn't feel like enough. My abusive ex-owner isn't finished with me and is determined to make my life hell. But hope comes to me in the form of a cute, brown labrador, named Zuma.

This story is based off of a dream I had that made me sad along with personal problems in my life. The story involves Zuma, Rocky, and Marshall and how Zuma struggled to speak up as the bond between Rocky and Marshall became stronger and stronger until Zuma thought it was too late despite the fact that Rocky might unknowingly have had a stronger bond with Zuma first and didn't realize it until Zuma spoke up a different way. The theme of the story is that you need to have the courage to speak up to your friends about how you feel about your friend, and then speak up to your friend about how you feel about him or her because good could come out of it.
