Sam, a shy, 16 year old, closeted lesbian who has anxiety issues and abusive parents meets Avery, a soon to be Beta, who wasn't expecting to find her mate in a human girl. But when one act of kindness and tears start to turn things over, Avery realizes that she cannot keep Sam an arm's length away.
