The Succession of Time (Ninjago & Reader AU)

Spring has come, and in the face of peace, the ninja have some time off and eagerly prepare for the Festival of Blossoms. But things start to go horribly wrong; the days aren't changing, and the ninja are forced to re-live the same horrific events over and over.
Meanwhile, you, an apparently ordinary citizen of Ninjago, find yourself caught in a web woven by some relatives of yours who have an insatiable thirst for control. Forced to contribute to a terrible plot, you must do all you can to keep your will from breaking, or all hope may be lost.

Content warning for Major character death, and a lot of it, as well as some abusive/controlling behavior, among some other messed up stuff; if you're squeamish and can't handle descriptions of blood and gore, this fic probably isn't for you.
It'll be awhile before the reader makes an appearance, just a heads up.
