2016 AD, 3 years after the end of the third world war. The devastating 7-year long conflict, where over a billion met their end. In much of the world, things seem peaceful, as mankind begins to heal the wounds inflicted upon itself. Enter Arctaius Corde, once a young boy thrust into life or death battles, connected to this very war. Helping him survive, were his abilities gained as a proto-human, And his ever-increasing ruthlessness. Eventually, he would find is way to Tokyo.Though a troubled student at best, with a lot of fights under his belt. They were nothing compared to those previous, and his life had become a more peaceful one. However, this would soon end. As a mysterious group that appeared during his childhood resurfaces, and begins to take action, eventually drawn in by their plans once more. He decides to take the first chance to begin chasing them.

That was until a mysterious medieval-looking structure appeared out of nowhere in the middle of Washington D.C. Suddenly, the nation's capital is under attack by a medieval-style army and creatures only seen in fantasy stories. This mysterious army, however, soon realizes that they stepped on the dragon's tail. This story is based off the anime/manga series, Gate, but follows a different storyline and characters. I do not own Gate, but the story and characters in this story are mine.

Discrimination against outer colonies by those from Earth has created a powder keg of animosity that's on the verge of exploding into interplanetary warfare. Every colony has its own government, military, and technology, though some rely heavily on Earth's technology, others on their own advancements. (A/N: Everyone thank Wattpad Sokal7 for helping me bring back this story. It took a very long time, but I've managed to bring it back. In an alternate timeline, the human race found a way to create superpowers. By extracting energy from stars and inserting that energy into humans, 'powers' were created. Powers allowed humans to gain unnatural abilities such as flight, invisibility, super strength or in other words, superpowers. Of course, with the introduction of something so revolutionary, people rose up in the hundreds of thousands in an event known as the Great Rebellion. The insurgents banded together under a single banner and became collectively known as the Shadow, marking the beginning of the Cosmic Wars. Out of the darkness, the Gazers were born. Using what remained of the power technology, the Gazers singlehandedly perished the evil and ended the conflict. However, there was a price to pay. Powers put a toll on the human body and had serious mental and physical repercussions. The solution was to recruit children from the age of 13 to 18 and train them so their bodies would adapt to their powers, eventually becoming immune to all negative side effects. The end of the Cosmic Wars brought forth a new age of peace and prosperity that the world had never seen before. However, the long reign of the Gazers has already begun to crumble, cracks showing up within the very thread of society. Their rule will not last for much longer. The Shadow will rise once again.
