How many times must you die before you realize what you are living for?

*********************************************************
Ezlyn Graves has lost her mind. Literally! The inability to remember a single event after a drunken night leaves her mystified. To make matters worse, a cryptic text message revealing that she is an agent, presents a life she never knew existed.

Apparently, Ezlyn is a Guardian of the Death Guard, summoned by Death to locate the stolen scythe before the necrological order of demise is disrupted. But Ezzie didn't expect to be teamed up with devious miscreants thirsty for blood and seeking vengeance. In fact, she isn't at all prepared to learn that some of Death's own personal guards have gone missing, especially at a time when she has no recollection of the life she is living or what she is capable of.

Mystery/Thriller
Prompt 54: You get a mysterious message on your phone stating, Agent 23, you have been activated. You guess it's a bad time to have amnesia.

Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing. Her most lethal weapon is herself . . . • • • Agent Eleven was always a loyal Agent for the Division. Until she wasn't. Running and going rogue a year ago had definitely put her on their hit list, but what happens when they find her again and force her back to the very world she ran from? Forced to join the elite team of Operatives and their domineering leader with a knack for watching her too closely, she has to tread lightly to finish what she started. Because little do the team know, they weren't the masterminds behind her return. And she isn't leaving again until she finds out the truth about what happened a year ago, and keep her identity a secret while she's at it. With a too hot for his own good leader, his best friend who seems to see too much and two seemingly innocent operatives by her side, will Agent Eleven uncover the truth? And what will she do once she realises she's captured the attention of the very serial killer her team is assigned to hunt? This plan might just be her stupidest yet, and it might just be the one that's gets her killed. • • • I watch from the corner of my eyes as he brings the dagger up to the straps of my top, slipping it under the thin fabric. "There's just a few things in my way." He hushes, dark eyes hooded. He slices through the fabric in one quick swipe, the strap hanging limply as he moves to the next one and repeats the process. • • • Cover by Quirky Circe on Etsy Highest ranking #1 in spy 1/1/2020 (almost 4 years of this - holy hell) #1 in action- adventure 3/1/2020 #1 in romance 18/1/2022 #1 in adventure 18/1/2022 # in secretagent 21/2/2022 #1 in badassreads 21/4/2023 #1 in action-romance 19/8/23 Hit 1M reads on 9/3/2021 Completed final edit on 13/09/2022

(History) Hi my name is Serenity, and I have a secret I must tell, because you see I am immortal, which means that I cannot die no matter what, like for example you shoot 100 bullets at my heart I won't die. When I first realized I was immortal was when I was trying to save a friend but the bullet went right through my heart and killed her. Her name was Sarah, and she was the only person that accepted me being immortal. You see what happened was, she said that she was going to tell people that were scared of me that I was a normal person, but she said that to someone who really hated me and that was her brother, Ian, even though he may be hot, he can be a full on jerk. Nearly everyone at school knows that. But, the one thing I don't get is why he hates me. I can understands if he hated me after his sister died, but it didn't mean that he had to tell the police that I killed her, as I didn't, he did. He is such a bloody liar. One day I will get revenge on her, but that will happen once I get out of here. At the moment I am in jail, I've been telling the police that I didn't kill Sarah, but they still don't believe me. The chick in the cell next to me whose name was Raquel said that they won't believe anyone as they have heard too much shit from other prisoners. Raquel said that she did a pretty bad crime, and she been in prison for around 10 years. I am worried that I am going to have to stay for 10 years for something I didn't do. I swear Ian screwed up their minds as he has been in prison for 5 years; well that is what Raquel told me, as they used to be Boyfriend and Girlfriend, and they both did the same crime 10 years ago.

If not all Umbra are dangerous criminals, what else does Luxarx get wrong? As he investigates, Kaleth stumbles onto a conspiracy that doesn't just concern the agency, but also his government, and the whole world. There are monsters hiding in plain sight, secretly in charge of everything since the very beginning - the long-forgotten dragon-gods with supernatural abilities. Sirena has no memory of her past as she awakens on the nautiloid. She doesn't just feel the tadpole behind her eye, working its way into her brain. She also feels something deeper...darker. The worm is being overshadowed by the constant desire- no NEED to kill...kill...KILL. Her only mission is to get revenge on those who have left her with only a name and this need to destroy. Everything else, her experiences, battles, and relationships will slowly reveal her past; whether it is useful or disturbing is another problem. However, her past is known to a select few. She will go on to find out she does indeed have a reason for the twitch she feels when a knife is in her hand. A reason why her body sings along with every strike of a blade against anything that moves. She is the daughter of Bhaal himself, the lord of murder. He sired not only her sweet name but the incessant desire for murder. She was trained in the arts of delightful music aswell as blades. Why? Because Bhaal's chosen must be so despicable that they can use honeyed words to convince their prey to commit their own murder, command a room of people to drop with the most angelic of Melodies. Her power resides in words because it was his desire, but her skills were moulded into something far more deadly. How she became lost with this urge is the main question pounding against her skull, but whoever did this didn't think of one thing. Sirena may have forgotten...but she will never forgive. Will she decide to resist this urge and get her revenge? Especially when it comes to those she will grow to love? Well...let's hope the dice roll in her favour. (This is a series I've created in honour of my durge run that I just had to write about. All inspired by conversations, events or areas through the course of the game. This is meant for mature audiences, due to the amount of violence, language, character backgrounds, etc. There are sexual scenes but don't expect many as I'm VERY new to writing. Thank you and enjoy!)

Only the brave learns to test the waters amidst the labyrinth of its knotted mystery. PLEASE, NO PLAGIARISM. (~Created July 6, 2018:Finished August 5, 2018~) Being engrossed in studying his current case detained him from leaving at once until he forgot the time. He never mentioned to Hera that he's going home after two decades. Only his youngest child knows of his trip back home. Whether he believes in curse or not. It's his 45th birthday tomorrow and he must be home to keep his promise to his mother. His family had never forsaken him, he did. He'd been ignoring their summons since he turned his back from them. Perhaps it's time to grant their plea. He closes his office and walks to the elevator. "Good evening, Artemis." The man in a black jacket greets him. Artemis smiles at the stranger. "Do I know you?" The stranger puts his arm around the stunned lawyer. Behind the unknown man's dark glasses are bloodshot eyes ready to scare the wits out of his prey. "Your mother does. She's expecting me to greet you happy birthday." Removing his dark glasses, he stares at his victim to corrupt his eyes. Insurmountable fear assaults Artemis as excruciating pain drills on his eyeballs. A horrible scream slits through the silence of the night when the clock strikes twelve. As the elevator opens, the stranger loosens his grip and the victim falls on the floor. Covering his bleeding eyes, Artemis winces from severe pain. The man whistles away as he walks past the dead body of the security guard in the lobby to the snowy road outside the building. His victim crawls out of the closing elevator. The curse is true. He must get into his car before his sight totally leaves him. He must warn his family. " I must save Athena!"
