My heart hammered in my chest as I sprinted through the dark and tangled forest. A thick layer of mist had covered the ground in the pitch-black, so it was impossible to see. Branches and brush grabbed at my cloak. My pursuers crashed through the undergrowth behind me, gaining. Faster. I pushed, lifting my knees to lengthen my stride, but it did next to nothing. Something whistled past my ear and lodged into a tree on my left. I couldn't keep running forever. But every moment spent being chased was a moment not owned by her. Several other objects-arrows, I assumed- whistled past. A stabbing ache was growing in my side and I desperately sucked in the cool forest air. Something snagged around my ankle and I sprawled into a clearing, feeling a sharp pain in my wrist. An eloquent string of curses spewed out of my mouth before I could stop them.

"Don't move, by order of the Queen!" A deep, gruff voice demanded, still coming towards me. I had every intention of disobeying, but when I tried to haul myself to my feet, my wrist wouldn't support me and pain blurred my vision. Wonderful - broken wrist. Lovely. I rolled over to see my attackers. The man stumbled into view. I could hardly see him in the faint starlight, but I knew exactly what he looked like.

Fate leads those who are willing but must push those who are not. One might interpret this saying a bit too literal. After all, Elena did end up on the bottom of a hill in the middle of a forest, suffering several injuries. But do not worry, fate loves a rebel and has something magical stored for our sarcastic heroine. Time travel. An adventure in the 16th century was not something our main character had in mind, but when her path is built with music and joy, it can't be that bad, right? Oh, who am I kidding. . . At first glance, it seemed to be the perfect fairytale for our main character; being able to experience the medieval time and be surrounded by enchantment wherever she went. She even meets a monk, blessed with the gift of music, who shares her passion and is willing to teach Elena the secrets of the piano. It's perfect. But it was only the tip of the iceberg. Elena's piece of tranquility is broken when she stumbles into another mess, leaving her caged and alone in the forest. Fortunately for our heroine, a prince crosses her path, helping her in her need. One might see this as the Universe's way for entertainment, or the fate's bizarre tactics to bring people together. Whatever it might be, it did not stop Elena from catching the eye of the prince of a powerful kingdom. The two of you have dark history and with Finn now getting in the mix without his understanding makes him a dangerous advantage to her. If this "training" keeps up with him coming home with more injuries then you will have to stop them. What if this girl doesn't stop? What if she keeps going until she kills him? What if she kills him to get to you? You can't risk your hero getting hurt by one of your own enemies. Once upon a time he lost you when you were too far from reach; you aren't going to lose him now when he's this close. If she wants to play tug of war with Finn then you'll entertain her. But the last thing you will do is allow him to be on the wrong side of wizardry. Because as far as your concerned, you're in the right.
