Bound to the stars, originating from the planet Mithgard, the S.S. Comet is filled to the brim with misfit freedom fighters under the guise of pirates. Bouncing from planet to planet, the crew of the S.S. Comet combats tyranny using the "Breath of Life", a supernatural ability found only on Mithgard. Along the way, they discover foes who use unique abilities of their own, who pose a great challenge to the S.S. Comet. Looming over it all, a malevolent force reawakens.
