❝ He only watches me, the candle on his table, the only light in the room, illuminating his face. I can clearly see the look in his eyes. Confusion, embarrassment, hurt, and perhaps. . . longing. I take a step closer and he tenses. Hesitation blooms inside of me but I move before I can think it over again. I stand on my tip-toes, one hand reaching up to his jaw. I hear him swallow. "Thank you," I whisper, planting a kiss on his cheek, and I hear his breath hitch. I pull away to find his eyes closed but they fly open when I step back. His fingers wrap around my wrist and he tugs me back to him. "Don't do that," he breathes. "Don't touch me and expect me to pretend like nothing happened, like you did. I won't do it -- I can't." ❞ ⤹⋆۪۫。˚۰˚☽˚⁀➷。˚۪۫⋆ ༄ Princess Soraya Vesper has been betrothed to the enemy's crown prince since she was a child. In a world where royals are bred to rule all their lives, none of them know how to deal with the obstacle that's been hiding in front of them all along: magic. Set in an alternate universe, this story takes place in the aftermath of a Third World War that split the globe into three kingdoms: Asia, South America, and Europe. It was merely speculation at first, but then more and more deaths start circling the couple. A curse hangs over their head and if the Asian Princess Soraya doesn't find a way to work together with the European Prince Leonidas to break it, the magic will continue to haunt their children too. Tropes: * childhood friends to strangers * strangers to enemies to lovers * marriage of convenience

In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. One day though, they feel their tattoos start to tingle. ____________________________________ *Will they be happy with who their soulmate turns out to be? *Will they recognize each other? *Will they be happy? *Will they break apart? -Read to find out. :) ____________________________________ This book is rated mature because there is a lot of talk of depression and self harm.
