A global pandemic is wreaking havoc on the lives of people worldwide. Mackenzie Murphy is no exception. Her anxiety surrounding the unknown coupled with her recent decision to drop out of law school has increased her stress levels tenfold. How is she supposed to tell her parents?
She never gets the chance, however, after a freak car accident paired with an electromagnetic anomaly lands her a decade pre-COVID19. She finds herself broke, anxious, and alone; wrapped up in a secretive government investigation and a bureaucratic battle between the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit and mysterious 'Project Aevum.' With no way back to the future, it seems she is going to have to figure out how to make ends meet.
Luckily, the BAU team takes her under their wings. The evidence points to a future Spencer Reid leading her to them, and nobody is quite sure as to why.
