In the year 2012, there are two types of people on the earth; those who are normal, and those who aren't. Our story takes place with those who aren't. They're called mutants. They have special gifts that are rare and hard to control. Most go to a special academy for mutants that will teach them how to effectively use their gifts and make the choice between wrong and right. They have several problems: a) the normal people want to destroy them, b) the world as they know it is coming to an end, and c) their own are beginning to turn on them. To make matters worse, a new villainous mutant appears as a traitor and could possibly destroy the universe. The X-Men are having a tough time taking control of the situation. There aren't enough students at that point where they can freely use their powers without having to worry about it destroying the world. So when a meek girl, seemingly normal, stumbles upon the academy and asks to be trained, everyone sort of just laughs at her. They believe she's normal and there's nothing special about her. All except for three; Logan, a.k.a. Wolverine, Ororo, a.k.a. Storm, and Scott, a.k.a. Cyclops. They know she isn't your average everyday nineteen-year-old girl because they've seen her in action. And it's up to her to control her powers and save the academy, and possibly the world.

The Dawn of X has arrived in the Marvel Universe. Xavier and his allies have founded the new mutant nation of Krakoa, promising a safe and supportive home for all mutants no matter who they are of their past crimes. Mutants have flocked to this new paradise, glad to free themselves of the hateful world they once lived in. Yet not all mutants are so eager to join this new nation, including the mercenary 'Darktruth'. But now a job has arrived at his door that will lead him to Krakoa, and force him to make a decision about what his future is going to be. Note- This is a new story starting off during the current 'Dawn of X' in the X-Men section of Marvel comics using some of my original characters. This is essentially a continuation of of fan-fiction I wrote on the old Marvel boards and more recently the Mickey's Tavern site, the latter where I've been posting this so far. It's a bit of a soft reboot, given some of these characters were left off in places that created problems for this story. I'll do my best to reintroduce all of my characters, and hopefully as I do I answer any questions for people who may have read my fan-fics before. This is an evolving story, meant for me to explore different ideas that are playing on my mind, particularly that grow from reading the comics. If this causes any inconsistencies as it goes (this is probably an ongoing story, with no set ending yet) I apologize, but will do my best to try and avoid that. Also this story will contain mature themes and events. I can't say exactly what it will contain so will give a general trigger warning, with specific ones on issues that dive into particular things. I just know I want to write a more raw story in the Marvel U, perhaps diving into things the comics can only touch upon due to their rating. Will try to update every two weeks or so, depending on the rest of my life. Maybe more frequently to start to catch up closer to where I've written.

When Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr go looking for other mutants, in a great effort, to stop the world from going into a third world war, they are surprised by who they find. The first of the three that were found last is a girl who goes by the street name of a Dive, who was soon revealed by Charles without a protest from her, to be able to manipulate all sorts of water, and even turning herself into water for limited amount of times, using it to move, from place to place. The next mutant they find, is a boy that goes by Circuit. His powers were quickly revealed to be the powers to manipulate, absorb, and even temporarily to become the lightning, as well as electrical energy that he absorbs and then uses to power himself up. He is also said to be able to completely destroy metal and things made of metal if he pushes enough electrical energy through it, causing it to explode in response. The last of the three, is perhaps, the most dangerous mutant of them all. With telekinetic abilities to rival that of Charles Xavier, the girl who now goes by Second she would be a very good and very useful ally to their cause... if only they could get her to stop speaking through images in their heads. She insists with images on being called Second but they choose to all call her Instinct instead. Charles understands them all since he knows from searching through their minds, that they have, quite all of them, been through hell in their young lives. When the time comes to fight for what they all need to know that they believe in the three mutants all are to choose. Do they stay continuing to lock themselves away and only conversing with each other and on certain occasions, someone else? Or will they learn to see the world like the others do, and learn to see that not everyone who is in the new world now, isn't just like the others who sought to all destroy it before? Kerri was just a normal teenager with maybe a little worse than normal home life, and an ok but dull school life. That is, until she one day develops an interesting problem. She gains mutant powers, and her appearance starts changing randomly with her emotions. Now she has to try and keep those under a tighter lock than before, because mutant hysteria has hit her town, and she went from an unknown quiet bookworm to the topic on everybody's tongue. Then it really hits the fan at home and she has to leave before it gets worse. Luckily, Professor Charles Xavier finds her and saves her from the streets before something unthinkable can happen to her. Unfortunately it took him a year to find her and she's withdrawn from the world, and isn't used to socializing with humans anymore. And then there's Kurt, code name Nightcrawler. He's a mutant too, and has been treated differently his whole life because of the way he looks. The best day of his life was coming to the institute and getting the hologram that hides the way he really looks so he can finally look like everyone else. But when the newest student comes to the school, he finds himself judging her by looks too. Until she pushes him into showing her his true appearance and marks his life as the first person to ever tell him that he looks better without the hologram. Then, as promised, she shows him what she really looks like and he falls for her. Too bad there's only two trimesters left of his senior year before he graduates. Will Kurt be able to pull Kerri out of her shell before he graduates and has to find what to do next with his life? And what about the pressures of high school and the anti mutant society that are always there at the edge of their life?

{Set before X Men, then skipping into X2) Sierra Storm was always an anomaly among her peers. She always wanted nothing more for herself, to just be normal. When she manifested her powers at the age of 12, she was so terrified to find out that she wasn't normal. Until one day, Charles Xavier tracked her down, to tell her or confirm to her rather, that she was in fact a mutant, a very, very powerful one at that. She was brought to the Xavier's School for the Gifted, and she was accepted and integrated into the school, despite her doubts and all of her misgivings about being a mutant and especially a powerful one like Charles said about her. She was not expecting to find two boys there, that had all complete oppositional mutations who also happened to be best friends. One had the mutant name Iceman or Bobby, while the other was Pyro, or John as he had been called since birth. They quickly gave her the nickname Element, after realizing that she had many useful abilities and they were all related to the elements. They also found out very quickly enough to their pleasure, after accidents around the school, that by combining their gifts of their specific elements to hers, that they could create something even more powerful then what they already had on their own. Sierra was not one to scare easily, especially not when it came to being snuck up on, but there is one thing that has always scared her, and that always will scare her. Losing the acceptance of her family. Human or Mutant Normal or Different The only thing Sierra ever wanted, was a family. Book One in the [Elemental Series] I own nothing in this book except for the plotlines revolvin' around Sierra that don't appear in the movies or the comics. Also, Sierra Storm is entirely my own, and i will not tolerate plagiarism.
