Once upon a time, an advanced civilization resided in the Polaris system. Its people were immortal and capable of crossing dimensions. But pride goes before a fall; they revolted against their divine creator and were massacred. The sole survivor, known to the humans as the Wayfarer, was banished from its homeworld. To be forgiven and allowed to return, it must drift through the universe and commit twelve acts of penitence.

This story chronicles the Wayfarer's road to penitence, as well as its intertwining with the rise and fall of human empires.

How long is a lifetime? For Luc, it stretches far beyond human reckoning---a punishment etched into eternity for a rebellion that shook the foundations of the world he once belonged to. A creature of light and power, he now walks the earth in flesh as a wealthy, enigmatic man. His vast empire---built on both respectable ventures and shadowed dealings---spans civilizations, but none of it brings him peace. One rain-slicked evening, from the balcony outside his favored courtesan's room at the infamous Bessie's brothel, Luc watches a line of enslaved girls being dragged in. Among them, a girl with hair like the sunset and fire in her eyes is struck for resisting. Something ancient stirs within him. On a not-so-uncharacteristic impulse, Luc decides to buy her. ... Aida, stolen from a faraway land, is young, bruised, and burning with defiance. Her presence was never meant to matter, but soon, she becomes more than a passing distraction and inconvenience to Luc. She cracks something long-buried in his soul: a memory of grace, a glimpse of light, a pull toward something he thought lost forever. Yet salvation doesn't come easily. Forced to share a living arrangement neither of them truly understands, their constant clashes breed awkwardness, tension, unexpected moments of humor, and something more. Can two broken souls, worlds apart, save each other from the darkness they were never meant to endure alone? *This story is original fiction with Luc as the main character, set in an alternative Victorian era. It is intended to be the prequel/spin-off to 'Until The End Of Time', where Luc played a major part toward the end. Slavery is depicted. Meet Stanley Dial, an average shmoe, who also happens to be the world's best and most unlikely time traveler in the year 2044. Saddled deep in debt, and sweating the details of an all-or-nothing bet that could seal his family's fate, Stanley finds himself caught up in an epic battle between two secretive organizations striving to control Earth's future. On one side, the government-run Ministry aggressively employs its "Big Brother" Sweeper program to routinely scan the near future for society-altering anomalies. Armed with this information, agents return to the present and covertly neutralize any undesirable outcomes that would adversely disrupt the status quo. Meanwhile, the much smaller and resource-challenged Underground use their own time travel technology and advanced scientific simulators to thwart Ministry efforts to manipulate the natural order of societal free will. Amid the chaos, Stanley becomes a pawn in their deadly game of cat and mouse. Will his hidden skill be enough to save Mankind from a decidedly dark and desperate future?
