The Dark Children

In a world divided into kingdoms and reigns, the fae rule the continent of Kiareth. A raging divide is occurring though with the new tyranny in the north, causing a shift in the society and some faes' wellbeing as the kingdoms are at the brinks of war. However, it worsens when a rebellion divides the royals and the commoners, where power slowly becomes a rarity under the constant blood shed. Causing only harm, and a new hunt for magic.

Ashley Hendrix, otherwise known as Ash, is the most feared of the Dark Children, siblings who have lived the royal life, only to be exploited for their dark and powerful magic. Ash being the youngest of the bunch, has become a feared individual amongst the public, as her power consists of the manipulation of darkness and pain. Though she is seen as the torturer of the north, she is conflicted, as she comes to realize the good her powers could do.

After meeting Andrew Jackson, more commonly known as Drew, she finds herself rebelling against the rule. If only she knew what the crown was truly capable of and the individual beneath. Will she succeed in taking the crown and breaking the pattern of pain rolling over the lands? Will she escape the royal grasp to follow her heart, or will her heart be taken first? If only she knew the betrayal, the shocking truth, and the extent of her love, before tackling the task of saving the people from the royal power, then maybe she would have had a better fighting chance.
