A weak, frail boy stood dead center in a burnt picture. A hand rubbed the dust off of it, covered in scars and mars. The hand retracted and showed the body of a rugged young man, eyes shining green.
The figure put the photo down, then turned away fully, walking out of the wreckage of a house, piles of ash disturbed as he walked out, the pavement covered in soot.
Words rang through his head "I'm so proud of you, son... I'm just sorry that I couldn't see you make it to the number one spot..."
'I promise. I will make it into UA. For you. I'll be the best hero.'
The figure was gone, the only indication was the cloud of dust he left.

Prologue When Katsuki was 4 he was playing by himself on a log over a shallow river, he used to go to this particular place with his parents all the time a few months ago, but after his father died he seemed to be going alone and this caused him to believe that his mother didn't love him anymore. She seem to never have time for him anymore. He wasn't watching where he was going and slipped on something, as he fell downwards his instincts kicked in and he screamed. All of a sudden he felt arms pulling him in towards something. he looked up and saw an older boy. He had green hair with equally green eyes. "you need to be careful there Kacchan." said the boy with a kind smile. Katsuki turned red in embarrassment. "who are you? and why did you save me? heroes don't need help from anyone!! and don't call me that!!" Yelled the 4 year old. "My name is Izuku and I'm your new friend." Said the boy with another smile as he landed softly on the ground infront of Katsuki's house. "really?!" Asked the child as he was set down. the older nodded as he stretched. "just come to the clearing with the flowers near the lake and we'll play there." said the greenette. Katsuki looked at him and thought about it. his mother had thought him to not go off with strangers, but there was something about him that made Katsuki want to be around him so he did something that would almost sound like Stockholm syndrome to any sane person. "when?" He asked and he saw a wide grin on Izuku's face. "Oh would you look at the time...Kacchan, it's time for you to wake up, but don't worry. Well see each other soon." Said Izuku as he ruffled Katsuki's hair and disappeared.

Izuku Yagi wanted to be a hero, but sadly he was diagnosed quirkless, this caused his sister and his friends to bully him harshly, and his mom and dad to neglect him. His Dad was the number 1 hero. His Mom was the number 5 hero. And his sister had a very powerful quirk. Izuku had enough of this and ran away at age 9. He then got lost in the forest, but he then found a paper attached to a tree. Then he saw a tall figure with a suit, tie, tendrils, and had no face with a white head. It was Slenderman and he had found his lost son. Izuku Midoriya, the boy who once saved him, stood just out of reach, not because of distance, but because Bakugo couldn't find the strength to touch him. Izuku didn't ask for his forgiveness. He only wanted to be close, to be near the person who had hurt him most. But Bakugo was afraid.
