Thrust back into the land of people after being almost entirely alone for well over half a centaury, an elleth finds herself with a group of companions on a quest that would save the very world she loved on success, but bring about the end of days on failure.
On this journey, will she find herself and all she has forgotten, and even companionship?

Just to let everyone know I am using both Peter Jackson's adaptations of The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings, as well as Tolkien's books as reference. This is to aid me in my attempt to retell the epic saga.

"I will stay safe. I promise," I said, pulling back and looking her in the eyes. They were red and puffy from crying, and her face was tearstained. I dried her tears, and her sobbing slowed to a stop. She took a shuddering breath and hugged me tightly. "You promise?" Míreth said quietly. "I promise," I whispered back. I held her tightly. "When I come back, we can live a happy, normal life together. I will come back. Alright?" I hoped the word together would hit a nerve. I did. Míreth pulled back, new tears of hope in her eyes. When they started spilling down her face, I dried them quickly with my shirtsleeve. ~*~*~*~ I do not own any of the Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit characters. I only own Míreth and the characters I made up. ~*~*~*~ I changed the cover and title. I thought this would be a bit more related to the story.
