❝"so what happened to you?" she asks the boy who had just arrived in the bed next to her. he looked like he fought with a car and lost, but she wanted to ask just in case.
"i-i was involved in the train crash," he replied in nothing more than a soft whisper, it was amazing she could hear him. lily's eyes widened.
"me too!" she exclaimed. "but wait. the crash was almost a week ago, how come you're only coming in now?"
"i-i..." he sighed, deciding there was no point keeping it to himself anymore. "i managed to escape the train before the fire broke out and... i ran. i ran as far as i could with a broken leg, before i tripped and fell in a ditch. i was down there for two days before someone found me."
"so where were you for the other four?" lily asked. why couldn't she figure this boy out?❞

-a train crash leaves two victims with temporary memory loss who come in contact with each other a week later in the hospital. one can't remember how he got there and the other can't remember what happened to her. he can help her but can she help him?
