It has been over 2 years since Minho got sent up into the jaws of the dark, unforgiving maze. Ever since then, Abigail was forced to watch behind the screens of the W. C. K. D. command center, not being able to communicate or help in any way, while Minho and the other Gladers struggle to find the answer that will get them out of the maze, and at the same time, find a cure for the rapidly growing flare. But time is running out, and Abigail finds herself in a situation where she could bring back Minho's memory for good. Yet, something seems off. As the death of Alby sends shock waves through both W. C. K. D. and the glade, Abigail needs to make a choice on what she wants to save. The past, or the future?
