All her life, Joana has been a devoted follower of the system. For a decade, she's lived in the compound and never questioned the government that put her there. But now they've gone too far. When her best friend, Brian, is put on death row she begins to question everything. Why were they still stuck inside the compound? Why did they get to make all the rules? When would the country get to make their own choices again? Enlisting the help of Brian's rebellious and slightly annoying friend, Gordon, Joana tries to get Brian back. But in the middle of everything, Joana discovers that she's bit off much more than she can chew. The world of rebellion wasn't made for her, but neither was the system. Can she find her own way in this broken world? Or will she continue to let everyone else define her?
