Sienna McNabb has a lot on her plate - watching over her brother and sister, trying to excel in school so that she can attend her dream University, and her mother's remission.

The last thing she has on her mind is romance, besides that of the food variety. It's a big joke to her anyway, especially getting involved with someone in your senior year of high school.

However, that doesn't stop Mateo Kauten from waltzing into her life and trying to prove to her that love is worth any obstacles you may face or risks you have to take. But it's a lot easier said than done...

"I can't be just friends with you," he whispered bringing his hand against my cheek cupping it slightly. "McCormick," I sighed. I leaned in a little to his touch. Probably making the situation worse but I couldn't help it. It felt so good. "One last kiss that's all I ask". He said before leaning in slightly. His eyes grazed to my lips and back to mine. ------- After a long summer of trying to get over heartbreak, Kennedy and her friends are back for more. It's senior year and more than anything Kennedy wants to put her past behind her and ignore all of her feelings for her next door neighbor Cal McCormick. This school year has more in store for Kennedy than college acceptance letters and school dances. Will she continue to swim past the lingering feelings she keeps trying to bottle up or will they come to surface causing her to sink further into the deep end?
