A rebel group consisting of demi-fae, pure-blood fae, and outcasted mortals, come together and plot against the King of Estoria (the mortal land).
They have a plan to kill the king that risks the lives of one of their rebel movements' members, Harlow (they/them).
Harlow is sent to the palace to attend the annual Royal ball, and this year, the Crown Prince is of marrying age, so their job is to woo the Prince and convince him to court them. Harlow manages to catch the eye of the Prince (fae beauty may have had a hand in that) and now they have to withstand a courtship with the son of their enemy and attempt to find out information to take down the royal family from the inside. Harlow finds an unlikely lover, but it cannot be, because she's vital to the rebels' plan.
Back in the demi-fae home in the Candurous mountains, Eira, Raven and the rest of the rebels plot to take down the monarchy, using the information that Harlow gives them to make the plan flawless.
Will they succeed?
