And then our lips touched, slightly but the feeling makes sparks fly. I felt the lump in my throat go away as he wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him. 

And I think everything just came crashing down like that. It was just that simple action that broke through all my defences. I was knocked back off guard, eyes wide and confused but I didn't resist.

"I'll just miss you" I smile. He walks up to me pulling me into a loving embrace. I didn't want to let go. My heart was beating fast and I pulled away. 

"What did you want to say?" Luke asks changing the topic. This wasn't the right time to be with him. It wasn't the right time to tell him everything. I guess I'll have to move on. 

"Just that it's too late now... it's a new day" I forced my lips to curl upwards and he smiled back.

That scenario sounds perfect for fairy tales and movies. But this was real life, and things didn't always work out so perfectly. I did fall for a boy, and by some grace of God, he fell for me too. He stayed with me when I asked him to, and we had our happily ever after, at least for a little while. But nothing lasts forever. And when our fairy tale ending started to crumble around me, I was left all alone with nothing but white noise.
