Things in the world changed, and quickly. All senses of normalcy descended into a spiral of never-ending implosion. All it took was one little snap of the fingers and the world crumbled and became what we now know as The Scorch.
In an attempt to try to regain what was lost, people came together and lost their humanity at the same time. Placing a bunch of teenagers in a giant maze with no way to defend themselves? Sounds ruthless enough to me.
But, in a web of lies, the most innocent of any crime can get tangled up. And that, that is how SHE ended up riding up an elevator shaft with no memories, boy's clothes, a migraine, and a goat.
