This is a modern high school AU of ATLA because I can and will make it. There are a few... unconventional ships. And Kataang is not a thing this time around! I actually am putting Aang with a nonbinary OC of mine named Nebula. Both of them are panromantic asexuals, so no smut. There will be swearing. There may be sexual assault/non con. Bending is still a thing.

edit: i wrote this when I was 10 or smth so it's extremely cringey 5 years after the war ended the Avatar team are living a normal life. Katara thinks her love for Aang is one sided, but their story is just beginning. Aang must try to win his friends over to accept this seemingly cold-hearted and pessimistic boy into their group... Because for some, odd reason... He knows they're supposed to meet. OG DESCRIPTION: they meet in school, Zuko is a transfer after his father murdered his mother right in front of him. welp I'm pretty sure the title says it all but I'll write a cheeky description anyway just because you're looking so cute today. It's a modern world but filled with bending. The Gaang you know and love have busy lives in the big city, this is their story, how they meet there, their emotions, what relationships build and crumble. What happens when the Avatar makes an appearance? Much like my last story this book will have multiple POV's of most characters. Speaking of the characters they are all young adults, ages 22 and up. I intend to stuff in a whole lot of drama, chaos, fights, sadness and soppy romantic moments so you and I can be thoroughly entertained, I'll try my best. This is an Avatar : The Last Airbender fanfic in which my OC, Madelyn Grace Langston (or Maddy) is integrated into the story without changing the plot a whole lot. This is a Zuko love story too. and I tried to make it as good as a writer like me can. This is only the first book, Water, and if it gets good views I will continue with the next two and maybe the stories after that as well. Madelyn is from the universe where ATLA is just a tv show, by just mean the only thing she seems to find any peace in, and she suddenly awakens on the deck of a certain Prince Zuko's ship and is immediately thrown into his chaotic hunt of the Avatar. After practically raising herself in her flawed home, she became independent and learned how to keep her emotions in check, but when she finds love sneaking up on her she starts to lose the side of her that craves solitude and darkness. Her phobia of fire and sudden talent for firebending create a chaotic pair as she battles both herself and her emotions in a fight that can only end one way. Summer break is over once again. Aang is starting his freshmen year at a huge high school. Lucky for him, his two best friends, Azula and Zuko also attend the same school. The school looks normal from the outside and even on the inside, but somethings going on with the school, something weird, and it's like the school is in on it. But if Aang is going to find out whats happening, he's going to need some help... P.S.
