Callie Atwood is just a 25-year-old from the Upper West Side of New York City. Finding a job has always been a struggle for her so when she gets an opportunity to do the one thing she excels at, fighting, she takes it. Her matches have given her just enough to make a living, and a little more. One day she's offered a big gig at an upper-class ring. 

In the meantime, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury, is on the hunt for a new recruit for the Avengers. He happens to be in the area when he hears of a large fighting match happening that night. Out of curiosity, he checks out the competitors and that's when he comes across Callie Atwood. 

After seeing her skill, Fury takes a liking to her and offers her a position as an Avenger. She accepts and becomes one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. But with her new title as "Avenger" and "SHIELD Agent" comes new dangers and hard decisions.
