"She was a mere cannon fodder who dies in every timeline... but in this story, the villain brings her back."

In a tale where villains could be saviors and destinies could be rewritten, Mari, once a character lost in her own storybook, finds herself becoming so much more than she had anticipated.

Little did she know that the search for the missing female lead would lead her straight into the arms of the villain himself.

-

"I will be your best bet in this damned power play. So choose me," he caressed her cheek, his thumb tenderly tracing her bottom lip. His unmasked face was mere inches from hers, so close they practically shared the same breath. "Allow me to stay beside you, to provide the stability that will come with our alliance."

If she hadn't been fooled by him before, she would even say he was yearning for the marriage.

"You know very well how much I cherish you. There is no love purer than mine."

She scoffed. Pinned up against a wall, hidden by the shadows of a secluded hallway, with his thigh pressed between her legs. Pure?

His presence alone was overwhelming.

"You are suffocating," she spat.

He smiled faintly.

"Then breathe."

Now that he has ensured her survival, he will see to it that she lives.

𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗠𝗬 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬!! ✦━━━━━━༺༻━━━━━━✦ ➥ 𝑰𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉: Ehh...? No. No no no. This has to be a joke. I woke up in the world of a very cliché romance novel...... and who am I? Hahhh... Of course. Aveline von Astor. The villainess. The tragic, doomed villainess who exists solely to make the heroine look good. Great. According to the novel, I'm supposed to lose everything, get tossed into a dungeon, starve for days and then ta-da!... die by execution. Seriously, universe? Or God? Couldn't I have been a background maid or a random tree? And as if that wasn't enough, guess what? The supposedly "loyal" male leads? Wth? Yeah... they're falling for me. ME. LIKE NO! Shut up and stay away from me. YUCKKK!! EHH?! How is this happening?! They're supposed to be fawning over Miss Sunshine and Rainbows, not glaring at her and asking me if I've eaten today! NAH GET OUT OF MY FACE I DONT WANT YOU!! JUST LEAVE ME BE!! Did I seriously win the unluckiest lottery in the afterlife...? But then there is that man. Him. The demon lord. "Touch her soul," he said softly, "and I will erase your god from history." (A/N: not ur generic villainess reincarnation trope.. I HOPE LOL) ♔ ───────── ♔ 𝑯𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑬𝑺𝑻 𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑲𝑰𝑵𝑮𝑺 (so far): ♔ ───────── ♔ #1 saint #1 players #3 maleleads #6 ikemen

A/N: ANY OFFERS FOR COMIC OR ANYTHING WILL BE DENIED AND DELETED. I'm not interested. ***SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T COMPLETED VOLUME 1!!!*** The veiled woman gently stroked the magic ball and peered at it. I couldn't see anything on its cloudy surface and nervously waited for her to speak. "Ah I see it... there's conflict, a passionate kiss, and a deadly battle hard fought in the near future." I nearly shot up from the seat in the fortune telling booth with excitement. "Seriously? Wow, Ophelia sure has her work cut out for her." The fortune teller paused before raising an eyebrow underneath her thin veil. "This is your future." "...Pardon?" -- The future has never looked dimmer but at least I didn't have to worry about being stabbed to death anytime soon. Trying to adjust to my new everyday life, I'm thrust into a situation where I'm given a rank far above my capabilities. Now forced into the spotlight and gaining the attention of the flirty Third Ranker, and the sadistically dangerous First Ranker; I'm exhausted before the second year's even truly begun. With a new term, new dangers and secrets emerge. And trying to stay uninvolved while being a cheerleader for the heroine continues to backfire. Well... at least I've got a nice place all to myself. As if to mock me, the doorbell rings and my face darkens. Unfortunately, it came with having to deal with troublesome characters who couldn't leave me alone. Hey, I already clocked out! Go bother someone else! [This story has fan art/official art in every chapter!] [CURRENT WORDCOUNT: 115k words] [AVAILABLE NOW ON TAPAS! Instead of long chapters, there are 185+ chapters instead!
