"So, Miss Connery." He skimmed his index finger over the edge of my desk as he slowly made his way round it. "What makes you think I would be so forgiving as to you going against me?" I snorted, a small smirk forming on my lips.

"With all due respect Mr AltoBelli, I don't answer to you. You are not my boss, nor the owner of this company. I am simply helping my client, who has already paid for my help." His jaw tightened, his body looked as if it would pounce at any second. Yet, he refrained.

He walked towards the large floor to ceiling window in my office and peered down the 29 floors to look at the bottom of NYC. "I think it's fair to say that you have quite a mouth on you." He noted, turning his frame back to me.

"And I think it's fair to say that you are a; misogynistic, egotistical, irresponsible adult!" I argued back. He inclined his head in my direction. "Is that so?"

"I will never marry you Ace! Your a sick, vile, evil human being!" I spat as he slowly removed himself from his towering position over me. "And that's how you really feel?" He replied, fury brewing within him. "I guess so. Yeah!" The only answer that I could muster together.

After Halo Connery got her degree in Law, she thought she had won the lottery, but since then she's realised just how much pressure she is under with her new job. After her first case goes alright, she dives right into the next one.
