In My Head
My breath quickens as the contraption I was forced into - who knows how long ago - moves. After what feels like an eternity, the space around me stilled, and I jerk forward, falling on my wrist painfully. Suddenly, a strip of light appears above me. As the light gets bigger, I blink and see unfamiliar faces observing me. The strong stench of exhaustion and sweat hit me. As I slowly get up, I see a boy apart from the crowd, watching me curiously. For some reason I feel drawn to him... A Newtmas fanfic in a reality similar to the Maze Runner (don't come at us - my darling friend and I wrote this together) with minor Minho x Gally. She was sent into the maze. But for what reason? She wakes up to see 30 teenage boys surrounding her. She is stuck in the glade with no clue, no memory, and no hope, that is until she finds an unexpected romance. Will she fall in love? Will she make it out alive? Or will she die, a lonley Crank in the maze? (TW: eating disorderly content, suicide, self-harm, assault, death, blood, etc) There is a little lesbo stuff in here as well as straight romances so just beware. This is a warning for homophobic peeps. "So when did you- you know- fall in love with her?" Thomas smirked, knowing he had him right where I wanted him, with his head in Fionaland. "Woah," Newt defeated with his hands up, "What?" "I may be slow to getting to know things around here, but I'm not that slow." Tommy chuckled, "I mean I'm pretty sure half the camp has a crush on her but you're fifty shades of complicated." He rubbed the back of his neck, "You keep surprising me, Greenie. It's... just history now." He played absentmindedly with his fingers. "Why do you ask? You uh... have a thing for her?" "Gally would happily filet me if I did." I joked. He laughed but didn't seem fully at ease. "No. I don't have a thing for her, she's a friend." He nodded, with a silent radiant of pleasure. I broke and asked him about her, "Is it really history? I mean... ever since I noticed you two together now I can't stop noticing it. She walks into a room and I feel like I have to remind you to breathe." He pulled a chair over and straddling the back of it. "You know when you're running through the maze and you're almost finished, you can see the glade and you have all this built up adrenaline? You're sore, tired, sweaty but you still feel the last bit of energy to get you home? That's what I feel whenever I'm around her. It's like every nerve in my body wants to wrap around her but I also teetering on the verge danger that would come with that."
