The story takes place when Oda Sakunosuke, Dazai's only friend has just died in his arms. He decides to leave the port mafia and abandon Chuuya Nakahara, his partner "in crime", as he would say. Everything is shading away from him. Then, 22 years old, he unexpectedly meet Chuuya in an alley.
