Elizaveta Thorne was raised in the Redwood Timbers pack in California. Since she failed out of the elite branch of warriors known as the Predators who hunted the Hunters two years ago, she doesn't have many responsibilities beyond the occasional border patrol. At 20 years old, she hopes to never find her mate. Unlike most females in her pack, Eliza never had a calling towards mating or motherhood. While birth and children fascinate her, it was never something she wanted to experience herself. Her best friend, Minerva, is the alpha's daughter. Natural alpha females are extremely rare as most alphas have only sons. As such, Minerva is constantly bombarded with visits from foreign wolves hoping to score an alpha female for a mate. When Alpha Callais comes looking for Minerva, and finds Eliza instead, Eliza's worst nightmare comes to fruition. The only thing worse to her than a mate, is an alpha mate.
